June 7, 2019: Tom, Jacques and Eric met at this year’s International Medical Tai Chi and Qigong Association Silicon Valley conference hosted at San Jose State University. Amongst a distinguished panel of researchers and speakers from Harvard and Stanford, Jacques gave a talk entitled “Tai Chi and Fall Prevention.” As part of the talk, Tom demonstrated some Li style Tai Chi during the talk, while Yun, the president of Emperor’s College, demonstrated some Sun style Tai Chi.
On May 20, 2005, Jacques and Eric went to Beijing to pay their respects to Master Sun Shurong. There, despite her deteriorating health condition, she reiterated how it was her hope and dream to see Sun-style Taiji continue to flourish in both China and the rest of the world. Sadly, she passed away two days later on May 22, 2005. She was 86 years old. She was one of the last remaining practitioners who studied directly under her grandfather, Master Sun Lutang, and will be sorely missed.
Jacques, Thomas, Eric, and the rest of the International Sun Taiji Association are committed to helping Master Sun Shurong realizing her vision.

The Sun Taiji Association met for a weekend training getaway/reunion on August 12 and 13 at the Charleston Park in Mountain View, California, right beside the Google campus.
